1. Go to Lisa-jo Baker and learn what the day's word is. Today it is GLUE.
2. Write your post in FIVE MINUTES. That's the rule. No editting or looking back, just five minutes of pure writing.
3. Link up.
4. Encourage the person who linked up before you. I tend to do two as link-ups sometimes mess up the order. BUT encourage those who have gone on before.
5. If you wish be kind, add the logo at the bottom of this post. :)

Glue... one of the things that I find fascinating in the world is how what is glue for one, is not glue for another.
Take for instance all the families the bond closer when they have a child with illness or deformity....and then take for instance all the families that split up over it. Families that divorce over hardships, and others that are made stronger when they suffer those same trials. What makes families glue together?
I have to admit, I don't understand it. I know we as humans are frail and prone to wanting our own way.
Then I look at the word glue and I think how there are different glues for different products. You wouldn't use glue for paper to hold PVC together... it wouldn't work. So perhaps those families that don't make it through the tough times are figuratively using the wrong glue.
It's hard I know.
It's hard to stick together sometimes, to make choices that are better for the whole than the one.
I know this.
God is the glue that holds the church together.
The church that is made up of frail people, with frail understandings, the inability to grasp the fullness of the glory which is the Lord God.
We try. We read our bibles and yet we fail to truly grasp it.
If we did... would the church truly be as splintered as it is today? The church, which like families... sometimes it works and sometimes the church as a family divides.
What glue are we using?
Are we using the right glue?
If not... why is it so?
