Today was a quiet work at home day.
We started out our day taking care of the rabbits and mice. This morning was a clean out the mice day and so we took the opportunity to wean off some of the pups. The new mouse GOLDEN produced some really pretty babies, one of which took umbrage to being weaned and nipped my boy "We're selling that one RIGHT MOM?!?!!" was the offended response.
"Can you figure out something for breakfast for us?". This morning that turned into Fruit Loops which wasn't my first choice, but since I'm teaching the lad to be good with MY choices for meals I complained not. :)
Over breakfast we talked over our devotions. Based on Mark 4:10-20. My son reads the passage and then we talk about it. This is the text he read.
“they may indeed see but not perceive,
and may indeed hear but not understand,
lest they should turn and be forgiven.”
[13] And he said to them, “Do you not understand this parable? How then will you understand all the parables? [14] The sower sows the word. [15] And these are the ones along the path, where the word is sown: when they hear, Satan immediately comes and takes away the word that is sown in them. [16] And these are the ones sown on rocky ground: the ones who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with joy. [17] And they have no root in themselves, but endure for a while; then, when tribulation or persecution arises on account of the word, immediately they fall away. [18] And others are the ones sown among thorns. They are those who hear the word, [19] but the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches and the desires for other things enter in and choke the word, and it proves unfruitful. [20] But those that were sown on the good soil are the ones who hear the word and accept it and bear fruit, thirtyfold and sixtyfold and a hundredfold.”
1. having necessary power, skill, resources, or qualifications; qualified: "I am able to catch a frog".
2. having unusual or superior intelligence, skill, etc.: Gramma is an able housecleaner.
In Story of the World we learned how good Suleiman was as Emperor of the Ottoman Empire. It was a huge empire so to rule it well he engaged LOTS of spies to keep an eye on things, instituted a common law with judges to care for given areas and more.
Me... I wrote this post. :) Did some laundry and dishes, figured out supper (sausage, pasta and snap peas), took bunny pictures, sold a couple of bunnies, emailed a bunch of people about rabbit stuff, connected with a friend, talked with hubby a bit and that's about it. :)
Tonight I plan to put the lad to bed and just relax. :) T'is a good thing to eh? Hopefully to bed on time tonight as well wouldn't that just be grand.
So tell me this... What has YOUR day been like?
