The word today is Willing.

Willing.. I hear that word and immediately what came to mind was the phrase, the Spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. It's a biblical principle about we so often want to do what is right, but then something gets in the way.... Usually our own wants and base desires.
Willing.. what am I willing for?
Willing.... whose willing will I do?
Willing....is my spirit truly willing?
I don't know.
I'm really not always willing to extend myself or to reach beyond to do something. I am often rather stuck on my own wants and needs, and then I find myself called to more and sometimes I go at it grumbling and complaining, but I still get the job done.
Like we've had SO MUCH snow this winter... we have drifts about our heads in places.
But that snow still needs to be moved and encouraged to stay up out of our way.
It's just the way life is you know?
Even if you don't want to.. do it anyways. Get into the spirit of it, and before you know it.. that grumbling spirit lifts and you become pleased with a job well done.
Don't feel like loving on your spouse... do it anyways. and before you know it, you'll be basking in your love of loving up on your spouse. :)
Don't feel like doing those dishes, or shoveling that snow? Do it anyways, and soon you'll be so pleased with that job being done and knowing that you did it indeedy.
Just be more willing.. even if you go into grumbling.. at least you're meeting the challenge aren't you now eh? :)
STOP.
