Ground turkey (1/2 pound) scramble fried, to which I added no-salt seasoning, onion and a teeny bit of green pepper. I removed a wee bit for my son for supper sans green pepper.
I let that cook a spell. Then I added rice.. oh.. a good handful of cooked rice, added two tablespoons of red sauce (in this case newman's), 3/4 of a small zucchini (cut the rest up for the lad), and a piece of celery sliced thin. (cut another two up for the lad).
On the side I had a handful of yellow mini tomatoes and strawberries (same for the lad).
The lad chose NOT to eat any rice tonight, and about half the meat I gave him but otherwise said it was a good meal. (he ate lots of tomatoes and strawberries though so he was getting full). :)
I thoroughly enjoyed this quick mix meal and will make it again. :)
Would my hubby have enjoyed it? probably not.. he likes more onion, more green pepper and hotter seasoning, but it could easily have been made to accomodate him as well. Just play around with it and you can make it fit your taste buds.
