Then from the above book we did an experiment with an orange. We drew lines on the orange with a black markers...longitude, latitude, the tropics, international date line and so forth. Then we used on orange peeler to cut off the "map" of the orange. We learned that black marker and oranges... not a good combination. :)
But we got our flat map and that is what's important.
one of the exercises was to build three towers. This took him longer than I expected, but in the end he came up with four towers.
oh... while the lad was playing we listened and watched two books from OnLine Barnes and Noble.
