I've picked this book up at my annual church sale along with a bunch of other retired library books. I have to admit, I liked it. :)
It's a book about a young lady who took her sister's place as waitstaff for a company restaurant/boarding house. Her sister was breaking her contract and didn't want to pay the penalty for doing so. Ergo Jillian took Judith (her twin sisters') place. As Jillian learned more about God's plan for her life she found it more difficult to live a lie.
How would she handle her growing attraction to Mac? How would she deal with her growing friendship with Mary? What could be down about the Indian situation and Mr. Cooper? All these questions and more are answered in the book.
Decently developed character, different plot lines to follow, and deeper understanding of some of the issues regarding the native americans that existed at the time.
Overall good, light reading.
