The book is about some settlers living during the time of the French/English wars. Two girls are captured, and this story is about how their faith in God sustained them throughout their ordeal.
The book was an easy read and their faith in God was quite evident.
This book would be an excellent read for most young people... age 8 and up. Any alarming moments are not gone into detail....but if I were to read this book to my son he would ask a whole lot of questions at certain areas of the book that would be difficult to explain well, so if you have a child who is easily alarmed I would suggest not reading it with them until they are in their early teens. For anyone else, read this book, it's a good one and holds true to how things were in the days of the settlers. Good read.
Overall...good book, recommend reading it.
I need to mention that this book is coming out in theatres in September.
