"It was an enjoyable book".
"It had a good story line to it. They had a pet show. Not everyone had their own pet so one person loaned their pets out. Cody had to make a hard decision to not let a friend borrow his most favourite pet and letting him have another pet and seeing that friend not treat the rooster very nicely. They were able to stay friends".
"The reason he didn't let his friend borrow his dog was the friend threw a stone at a squirrel"
"I think other children should read this book".
My additional thoughts
I love the illustrations that Rob Shepperson adds to the books. Just love them. They capture the spirit of the child and the book so well.
I was surprised at how quickly my lad read this book and how he said "You aren't going to find a new home for this book right away right mom? I might want to read it again!"
