Mystery plus the interplay between characters makes for me a good book. The only thing I'd toss out of her books in the intense adult relationship scenes...but that's just cause I really want to read that dramatic play.
But the relationship between Eve and Roarke.. who makes for a fascinating character, Eve and Peabody, and then watching how the bad guys relate to one another.. good reading.
I have to admit to being somewhat dissatisfied with this particular offering. Something seemed to be missing though the case they were solving was in intrigue, and the people behind it, and the end result a bit of a mystery.. something seemed a bit off in this book. STILL an enjoyable read, still kept me wondering almost to the end, and the relational stuff throughout the book was appreciated.
The book ended well.. we knew who committed the crime and why.
It was interesting to see the side characters and the information they brought to the story, the street kid who was too smart for her own boots, and the information brought forth about the victims.
Good book, but not the best of the series. :)
I picked up my copy at Costco, it's also available through amazon. :)
