Encouragement to that Fellow

Dear Fellow,

You know who you are, the man that is involved in the lives of a homeschool parent.

You might be the grand-dad sharing the joy of a child saying "This is what I did today Grandpa!"

You might be that dad, working hard to pay the bills, so school materials can be purchased, and wife held at night as she recounts the struggles of the day.

You're that dad, that tags along on field trips.
You're that single guy who sees a friend needing an extra hand and helps out, whether it be fixing a car or a leaky faucet.

THANK YOU;

You drive when I'm too tired to do so.
You pick up the slack when children are running a muck.

Sometimes you yell.
Sometimes you get frustrated.
Sometimes you tossle a head, or say I love you, or give a hug... even to an unwilling child! :) Boys who are growing up and learning how to be a man. They need hugs whether they know it or not.

You know who you are and you need to know dad, friend, grand-pa, uncle... You are so appreciated and your help is always needed.

Thank you for your hard work.
Thank you for driving.
Thank you for the dollars to buy curriculum.

Just thanks for being there. it's a good thing.
Please ... Do Not Stop.

We could not do any of this without you.

Wow! That was so good. When my husband is available, I am certainly going to have him read this. Nice job and I love that you were thinking outside the box that I was. Make for such good variety when reading through the blog hop. - Lori

Lori, Thank you. I re-read this and think...I could have thought of so many more dads...the ones that play dressup with their girls, or hang out with the teens at the beach or .... so much more to be said about those important men in our lives..

This is great. We really do need to remember to express our appreciation for the homeschool dads and all the other supporters who may not be doing the day-to-day teaching, but are so important to us!

Just had my husband read it because this was so well done. You put a lot of emotion into a nice succinct package and cut to the chase with the Thank You. He was touched and so, thank you, for another great way to say "thank you" to my husband.

I love that your wrote to the men that support our homeschooling efforts. What a great idea for encouragement. I know my hubby feels like he misses so much of our homeschooling, but he is such an encouragement to me and always willing to jump in and help.
