Anyways, the rules are simple.
Get the prompt at Kate's blog. Write for five minutes...no need to edit, just write. FIVE minutes that's it. Then link up. THEN the important part...go back and encourage the person who linked up before you. Easy enough eh?
As you can see from the image below Friday's prompt is LEAVE.
Leave... leaving can mean so many things right?
Leave can be the saying Good-bye to friends/family.
Leave can be the changing of one thing to another like when we leave autumn to head into winter.
To leave can be a choice.
Such as when we choose to leave behind anger or sadness or disappointment.
This was something I needed to talk with my son about last Thursday.
We were skating with our homeschool group and as children do, sometimes they make odd decisions and a young lady using a skating aid did a 180 and zoomed right for me.
I had the choice... run into her or push her away as I had no room to get around her.
I chose to push her away and in the pushing I got my thumb jammed up in her helmet. She landed softly on her butt and slid away I was left with soft tissue damage in my thumb and BOY that hurt.
My son got angry. Oh my.
He was quick on the defense of his mom.
And I told him he needed to leave it. It was an accident, that's all it was.
And so he learned that sometimes we make choices to leave anger and disappointment behind. He did the girls mom what happened so the young lass could be prompted to apologize, but he left that anger behind. And that was a good thing yes?
