Surprise.
As I type I am listening to a presentation on Tapestry of Grace. A fellow blogger peaked my interest in it so I thought I'd check it out.
I was surprised by my interest in it, but that's the way things go sometimes. BUT that's neither here or there. :)
My surprise this week led to a lot of work.
I raise rabbits, as some of you know, over the winter I've noticed that my wild mouse population has been decreasing and I've noted an increasing mess in my shed. And occasionally I'd catch some baby rats (and ergo dispatch them) but I thought I had the rat population under control.. UNTIL one night when I opened up the shed and TWO RATS ran over my feet and I saw three others scurrying away quickly.
My rat issue has suddenly become a rat PROBLEM!
Thursday morning, it was a dry morning, so I took EVERYTHING out of the shed.. discovered where the rats had been nesting, (three spots instead of the one I knew about). I covered holes my lad came out to see if he can help so he stuffed rat tunnels with tennis balls and blocked entrances with large stones.
YES! Now it's the turn for the rats to be surprised. :)
I came out this morning with the hope of seeing no rat tracks in the shed and
SURPRISE...
We now have a skunk...
Such is life eh? :)
