- 4 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup bread flour
1/3 cup rolled oats - 1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp brown sugar.
Add 2.5 cups of buttermilk (or in our case add 2.5 cups of kefir).
Add 3 oz of melted butter (no substitutes).
Mix well.
Knead lightly.
Divide into quarters. shape into round ball shape. Cut an "x" in the top.
Bake in 425 oven(preheated) for 30-40 minutes.
Let sit for a spell before munching on. Soda breads prefer to set a spell before being used.
then enjoy with whatever toppings you like.
