Preheat oven to 325
Mix together the following.
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/3 cup white sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
Cook for 65-70 minutes.
Let rest before eating.
This is a much lighter loaf than the earlier one.
