Written by Richard M. Collins, Raegan and RJ are Christian children getting used to living in space with their parents as well as other Christian families. An accident occurs, can RJ and Raegan save the folks involved? That's the mystery of this story.
I have to admit, the graphics are GREAT in this short book (it has 27 pages). The pages are full colour and aren't grainy as many graphic novels can be. Check it out.
I found myself irritated by the repeated "Go Raegan and RJ in space!" It just seemed like a throw it in statement and it didn't always make sense as to why they did it.
I did like the Christian content of prayer before going on mission and then giving thanks for a successful mission.
I didn't find the story line went deep enough, and the premise seemed unrealistic. A week is not long enough to adapt to living in space but it was realistic to use a game to teach the children how to handle living in space. :) I perhaps expected too much from the book, and my lad was just not impressed with his first introduction to a graphic book.
Others disagree and that's fine. :) After all, it did win a reader's choice award and that's gotta mean something right?
If you get the book, I hope you enjoy it. :) I know we enjoyed the good quality graphics. :)
