Ontario Homeschooling

OCHEC.  Ontario Christian Home Educator's Connection.   OCHEC is a province-wide volunteer organization that seeks to connect, support, and equip all those involved in home education in the province of Ontario.     OCHEC endeavours to provide encouragement, ideas and resources to all our members through research and dissemination of information at meetings, conferences, conventions and in a regularly published newsletter.

Ontario Homeschool Support Groups.   There are home education support groups in many parts of Ontario. The Ontario Federation of Teaching Parents has compiled a list to help you locate one in your area.

Groups I support

K.I.C.K.   Kick is a group based out of London.  Currently holds monthly get-togethers.  Christian based.

H.O.P.E.   Hope is a group based out of Stratford.   A larger group that has group learning times in the fall and spring.  Also plans numerous other events throughout the year.

A Different Drum.    This is a yahoo group.  It's an umbrella organization for London and area, of Ontario.

Forums

Homeschooling Learning Network.  The Home School Learning Network...
...is an affordable, dynamic online K-12 curriculum service that allows home educators and teachers to access thousands of unit studies, lesson plans, and worksheets. In addition, our learning environment offers a collaborative environment where educators can communicate and interact.

The Homeschool Lounge.  THL is a FREE network with a menagerie of resources. Members can build their own space, start or join a group or discussion, chat, upload lessons plans, unit studies, pictures, videos and more. The THL community is vibrant and diverse, yet unified in a passion and commitment to home educate.
