3. To target the nutrition lessons to a homeschooling audience - The program is not targeted to specific grades or ages, but to general ranges of kids and their abilities. Homeschooling families often have multiple children and this curriculum seeks to offer something to each of them.
4. Appealing to all types of learners - This curriculum seeks to provide "something for everyone", so all children can benefit from the lessons, regardless of their learning style.
5. Efficiency - brief lessons with a minimum of prep time - The lessons can be accomplished in 20-30 minutes a week, with little required prep time and few materials to buy.
6. Providing optional worksheets for those who want to use them.

As primary predators of night-flying insects, bats consume enormous quantities of agricultural pests and reduce the need for chemical pesticides. Yet these wonderfully diverse and beneficial creatures are among the least studied and most misunderstood of animals.

BugGuide. Learn about all sorts of bugs. We are an online community of naturalists who enjoy learning about and sharing our observations of insects, spiders, and other related creatures. We enjoy the opportunity to instill in others the fascination and appreciation that we share for the intricate lives of these oft-maligned creatures.
Cornell university of ornithology. Colouring book of birds. Most of the pictures in this coloring book were drawn by the noted bird artist and ornithologist, Louis Agassiz Fuertes (1872-1927). Fuertes, a native of Ithaca, New York and a Cornell University graduate, is known for his realistic bird art. Look for his signature initials: L. A. F. The other drawings are by William Montagna, signature initials: W. M. They also have educational games.
Earth Science - picture of the day. It is, as the title suggests, a picture of the day of something to do with earth. They can be rather cool. :)The Earth Science Picture of the Day (EPOD) highlights the diverse processes and phenomena which shape our planet and our lives. EPOD will collect and archive photos, imagery, graphics, and artwork with short explanatory captions and links exemplifying features within the Earth system. The community is invited to contribute digital imagery, short captions and relevant links.
